Shelly is a graduate of Santa Clara University and began her insurance career straight out of college with the California Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau. Shelly has developed an expertise in workers’ compensation after working with the WCIRB and as an underwriter and a Director of Underwriting for a number of workers’ compensation insurance companies.  In 1999, she moved into the brokerage business and began working in the alternative risk marketplace developing and managing captive insurance companies. Shelly underwrites a variety of captive insurance company programs, provides program management and assists in the development of new programs.
